Symposium Addressing Digital Inclusion of Older Persons in 20th Anniversary Active Aging Conference in Asia Pacific (ACAP) 2025 Fukuoka, Japan
The Active Aging Consortium in Asia Pacific (ACAP), established in Fukuoka City, Japan in 2005, will mark its 20th anniversary in 2025. The 20th Active Aging Conference in Asia Pacific, themed “Towards Global Active Aging: Lessons Learned from Fukuoka,” will take place from 17th to 19th March 2025 at Fukuoka International Congress Center, Fukuoka City, Japan. The ACAP 2025 conference will be chaired by Professor Takeo Ogawa, Professor Emeritus, Kyushu University, President of Asian Aging Business Center.
Digitally Inclusive Healthy Ageing Communities (DIHAC) study will contribute a talk entitled “Cross-cultural Evidences and Policy Recommendation for Enhancing Older Persons’ Digital Inclusion toward Healthy Ageing in Asia” in this international conference symposium at Fukuoka International Congress Centre 5th Floor, Fukuoka, Japan on 18th March 2025.
Principal Investigator Dr. Myo Nyein Aung will present the findings of DIHAC study alongside with speakers Dr. Donghee Han, Director of the Research Institute of Science for the Better Living of the Elderly (RISBLE), Republic of Korea; Ms. Teresa Tsien, Professor of Practice (Gerontology), Department of Applied Social Sciences, Institute of Active Ageing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong; Ms. Katsuko Ban, Promotion Committee of Digitalization, The Japan Digital Agency, Japan. Moderator is Dr. Leng Leng Thang, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Japanese Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore, Singapore.

We are excited to announce this as the second symposium of DIHAC study in 2025. The first symposium was held in Prince Mahidol Award Conference (PMAC) in Bangkok, January 2025. The next presentation of DIHAC study will be in at Expo 2025 Theme Week at the 2025 World Exposition Osaka on 17th May 2025.
