32nd Digitally Inclusive, Healthy Ageing Communities (DIHAC) Study Cross-cultural Exchange Meeting
Digitally Inclusive, Healthy Ageing Communities (DIHAC) is a cross-cultural study primarily based on Japan, the Republic of Korea (ROK), Singapore, and Thailand, further expanding to India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Europe and Latin Americas. DIHAC is expanding to several countries through collaboration and networking. We organize bi-monthly cross-cultural meetings to create trans-disciplinary learning opportunities for researchers, professionals, and graduate students.
The 32nd Digitally Inclusive, Healthy Ageing Communities (DIHAC) Study Cross-cultural Exchange Meeting will be held on 10th December 2025.
The chairperson of the 32nd DIHAC meeting is Professor Ryuichi Komatsu, PhD, who teaches global health governance and finance at the Interfaculty Initiative in Planetary Health and the School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nagasaki University, Japan. With three decades of leadership in global health, he represents at the Health Diplomacy Institutional Network. He was in charge of mortality statistic at the National Institute of Population and Social Security Research in Japan. He held senior roles at the Global Fund (2005–2023) and contributed to the Future of Global Health Initiatives. Furthermore, he played a key role in shaping the Lusaka Agenda for global health transition.
The first speaker is Mr. Shintaro Nakayama, Chief Operating Officer of OUI Inc. and researcher at the Department of Ophthalmology, Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan. He has over 10 years of experience in international development through JICA and Mitsubishi Corporation. He will present Smart Eye Camera (SEC) with telemedicine & AI functions to prevent blindness and visual impairment of all generations globally through the examination of anterior segment of the eye, in any context through smartphone.
The second speaker is Dr. Sng Hock Lin, PhD, Chief of the Silver Generation Office at Agency for Integrated Care, Singapore. He is a leading advocate for active living and successful ageing. He is passionate in citizen-centric services and organisational transformation. He will present how the Silver Generation Office leverages digital innovation and community network to engage older adults, integrate generations, and paving health and social services for healthy ageing in Singapore.
We are very glad to announce the upcoming 32nd DIHAC meeting. Participants are multi-disciplinary researchers, global health researchers, epidemiologists, sociologists, economists, medical doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, NGOs, NPOs, and PhD students from Japan, ROK, Singapore, Thailand, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, South Africa, Switzerland, Ukraine, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, U.S.A and the UK. We would like to share this learning opportunity cross-culturally and interactively.
