19th Digitally Inclusive, Healthy Ageing Communities (DIHAC) Study Cross-cultural Exchange Meeting

Digitally Inclusive, Healthy Ageing Communities (DIHAC) is a cross-cultural study primarily based on Japan, Republic of Korea, Singapore and Thailand, and expanding to several countries through collaboration and network. We organize bi-monthly cross-cultural meetings in order to make trans-disciplinary learning opportunity for researchers, professionals and students.

Healthy ageing encompasses dignity of older people by addressing their social, financial and health security. The 19th DIHAC meeting is a collection of precious presentations stemmed from three Asia countries. The meeting will allow us to learn whether owning a mobile phone can influence financial inclusion of older adults in Thailand, how an innovative idea creates a new plan of socially connected living in Singapore unlike traditional nursing home and retirement home elsewhere and how telemedicine helps primary healthcare service to preserve the demanding health care in the edge of population ageing in rural area in Republic of Korea.

Chairperson of the meeting is Professor Mohd Rohaizat Hassan, MD,PhD, Professor, Head of Department, Public Health Medicine Specialist & Epidemiologist, Department of Community Health, Faculty of Medicine, The National University of Malaysia, President, Malaysian Association of Epidemiology. He is international collaborator of DIHAC study and appeared many times on stage for presentation and moderation about healthy ageing. Participants are multi-disciplinary researchers, global health researchers, epidemiologists, sociologists, economists, medical doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, NGOs, NPOs, and PhD students from Japan, ROK, Singapore, Thailand, Kenya, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, South Africa, Ukraine, the Netherlands, U.S.A and the UK.

It is a great pleasure to announce the upcoming 19th DIHAC meeting which will exchange evidence, initiatives and experiences from Thailand, Singapore and Republic of Korea cross-culturally. We want to share this learning opportunity with our friends, colleagues, experts, scholars and researchers around the world.  Ww would like you to join us for an informative and engaging discussion.
