20th Digitally Inclusive, Healthy Ageing Communities (DIHAC) Study Cross-cultural Exchange Meeting
Digitally Inclusive, Healthy Ageing Communities (DIHAC) is a cross-cultural study primarily based on Japan, Republic of Korea, Singapore and Thailand, and expanding to several countries through collaboration and network. We organize bi-monthly cross-cultural meetings in order to make trans-disciplinary learning opportunity for researchers, professionals and students. Participants are multi-disciplinary researchers, global health researchers, epidemiologists, sociologists, economists, medical doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, NGOs, NPOs, and PhD students from Japan, ROK, Singapore, Thailand, Kenya, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, South Africa, Ukraine, the Netherlands, U.S.A and the UK.
Digital technology is increasingly applied for healthy ageing, health promotion and early detection of diseases around the world. Cricketqube is an organization in the UK that makes people healthy by encouraging their physical movement. Using an app for monitoring of physical activity and several parameters, it has recently made a new trend of promoting physical activity and healthy aging. We will learn the firsthand experiences from Cricketqube. Furthermore, in the era of multiple morbidity, screening cancer is utmost important. A public health professor from Malaysia will share the experiences and evidence of screening colorectal cancer applying DAVOCS ®system.
Chairperson of the 20th DIHAC meeting is Mr. Michikazu Koshiba, Head of Center on Global Health Architecture, MITSUBISHI UFJ Research & Consulting. He has been serving as moderators for many global events and conferences with UN, WHO, etc. He is particularly keen in digital innovation for the health. We would be privileged to learn how he and two interesting speakers and audience interact.
It is a great pleasure to announce the upcoming 20th DIHAC meeting which will exchange evidence, initiatives and experiences from UK and Malaysia cross-culturally. We want to share this learning opportunity with our friends, colleagues, experts, scholars and researchers around the world. We would like you to join us for an informative and engaging discussion.
