DIHAC Study Researcher Wins Best Presentation Award at Healthy Ageing Conference 2025, Hong Kong
DIHAC Study Researcher Elizabeth (SUSS) Receives Best Oral Presentation Award at Healthy Ageing Conference 2025 in Hongkong
Singapore University of Social Sciences, Professor Carol MA, and Ms. Elizabeth Wai Choo Teo and members of the DIHAC Research Team from Singapore, participated in the Healthy Ageing Conference 2025, held on 29-30 May in Hong Kong. The event brought together over 200 age-friendly advocates, practitioners, and researchers from 15 countries, who shared valuable insights and experiences on health and social initiatives supporting ageing populations. The theme of the conference was “Progressing the Healthy Ageing Agenda: Transcending and Implementing Healthy Ageing Programs and Initiatives in Our Communities.” Professor Carol contributed to the panel discussion for healthy ageing and ICOPE instrument.
DIHAC researcher Elizabeth Wai Choo Teo presented the findings of DIHAC study. Her presentation was well received by the audience. Ms. Elizabeth presented contextual factors for digital inclusion of older people in Singapore and advocated policy implications. She emphasized the role of community in closing the grey digital gap in Singapore and successful practices. Ms. Elizabeth Teo presented findings from the DIHAC Singapore study and was honored with one of the Best Oral Presentation Awards.
